Guidelines for Applications

The Trustees usually meet twice per year, in April and October. All applications for consideration in the spring funding round must be submitted by the end of February. For the autumn funding round, applications must be received by the end of August. Late applications will be held over until the next meeting.

Applications can be submitted online or by downloading the Application Form and returning it to our administrator. Please do not send letters or hard copies of any material as these will not be considered. Successful applicants are asked to acknowledge the Samuel Gardner Memorial Trust on their websites and any other relevant publicity, and to provide a short report on their project and the impact it had.

Please note that the Trust is not able to make grants

  • that will solely benefit an individual eg. as a bursary.
  • to fund the core costs of running an organisation.
  • for projects that have already started.

Please note that further applications from successful applicants will only be considered annually.
