London Youth Choirs

London Youth Choirs (LYC) is a family of 10 choirs for young people aged 7-23 that aims to deliver musical excellence and social change. With nearly 500 members, and an engagement programme that reaches 2,000 young people each year. LYC offers weekly rehearsals and performance opportunities to young singers, regardless of social or financial circumstances with recent performances including concerts with The Bach Choir and London Philharmonic Choir.

Our support helped cover the delivery costs of its largest choir, the ‘London Youth Choir’ during 2024/25 ensuring that free or subsidised places remained available to young people from low-income households or those facing additional barriers. As well as weekly rehearsals and performances, LYC provides financial support for travel and uniform when needed. The choir also provides pastoral care both in person at rehearsals and online through the ‘LYC Safe Space,’ along with a dedicated wellbeing resources hub.
